On March 3rd, Zac Posen showed his Fall/Winter collection in Paris. Posen returned to the aesthetics that characterized his first collection in 2002. The slick tailoring and uncompromisingly feminine silhouettes were paired for this show with leather, fur and bold accents.
Posen featured beautifully tailored skirt suits that drew attention to the waist. Jeweled toned formfitting dresses, with accents that mimic the natural contours of the woman’s body and mermaid-esque gowns. There were a couple of leather frocks that included two black cocktail dresses that seem fitting for a super heroin or Cat Woman. Posen hit the mark as he was aiming to create a collection that could be summed up as: “Voracious, sexy, intelligent, chic.”
