Women Making History: Paola Hernández

Paola Hernández is the designer we’d like to honor today. She launched her Old Hollywood inspired line shortly after completing her studies at St-Martin’s in London. Her clothing draws on sexual ambiguity while also being laced with elegance. Hailing from Mexico, she has made her mark across the globe. Hernández has presented her collections in New York, London, Paris, Reykjavik, Bogota and of course, her home country. The designer recently presented her Fall 11 Collection at W NY, and she also had a show at Lincoln Center as a part of the Global Glam project for W Hotels. The philosophy behind her brand? Paola Hernández simply wants people to truly embrace who they are, individuals with a unique blend of flaws, qualities, likes and dislikes; the way we dress should encapsulate all of that perfectly. Featured in such prestigious publications as Vogue, Rolling Stone Mexico, WWD, Super Super and Nylon, Hernández is clearly captivating the fashion world one collection at a time.
