Lady Gaga - "Born This Way"

Lady Gaga - "Born This Way"

♥♥ Little Monsters all around the world rejoiced as Lady Gaga released the highly anticipated single, “Born This Way” on Friday.   After months of teasing and taunting, the Madonna disco-inspired track that only took the pop star 10 minutes to write had the public going absolutely insane!  She performed it  Sunday night at the Grammy’s and walked away with 3 awards.  She racked up 2 of the awards while she was still incubating!  How awesome is that?   Do you think the song and her performance lived up to its hype?

♥♥ For the latest installment of “Mar Variations,” the talented soul singer pays homage to the late-great J. Dilla with Slum Village’s “2u4u”. Need I say more? Take a listen to the track and download it for free courtesy of Mar on Band Camp.

Tyler, the Creator

Tyler, the Creator

♥♥ Tyler, the Creator’s latest video for the single, “Yonkers” is dark, experimental, and just a tad bit disturbing. However, that hasn’t stopped me from watching it over and over again. It’s pretty amazing. Check out the video below and be sure to look out for his album, Goblins to drop soon.

Stalley's "Lincoln Way Nights (Intelligent Trunk Music)"

♥♥ So far, Stalley’s Lincoln Way Nights (Intelligent Trunk Music), hosted by Mishka, XXL, Smoking Section, HighSnobiety, DD172, is one of the best (free albums) that I’ve gotten my hands on all year.  the new video for his single “Slapp feat. Of course Gaga is inspired by Madonna – I was surprised how similar it did sound. I also think “Alejandro” was her “La Isla Bonita” – just sayin’. But I’m glad she’s back I can’t lie, I am entertained by her antics.

Before I talk about Gaga, I just wanna say I LOVE RAPHAEL SAADIQ!

I saw Gaga on some morning show, and she had the whole alien-esque thing going on again. Anyways, I was quite sick of hearing her new song all the time on every radio station, until I watched this little girl do a cover of Born this Way. I really got a chance to listen to the lyrics and just fall in love with Gaga’s songwriting skills. Oh, and that little girl rocks it!!

She had 4,000 views this morning, and after Gaga tweeted about her, check how many views she has now.

  3. Something about Stalley’s voice reminds me of Ghostface. Not mad at that.

I agree Gabriella. I can dig that Gaga is inspired by Madonna, but “Born This Way” sounds just a little too much like “Express Yourself” to me.

Artifact – The cover version is awesome!

Randi – I catch the similarities as well.
