“After he found a camera in the Paris subway, he did a tour of European Street Art, tracking the people who communicate messages via the walls. Then, he started to work on the vertical limits, watching the people and the passage of life from the forbidden undergrounds and roofs of the capital.”
This is what you will find written when visiting JR‘s official website.
JR truly has a heart and passion for what he does and it shows through the eyes of the people he captures. We covered his Women Are Heroes! short film back in 2008, now here we are in 2011 with the trailer of the feature-length ‘Women are Heroes’. The trailer looks exciting and I really can’t wait until word spreads so that everyone may be enlightened about the struggles women face daily in other parts of the world. It will be first released in France on January 12th (lucky!) but soon enough it will hit the US, so get ready – you don’t want to miss this!
With photos from Sierra Leone, Los Angeles, India and Kenya JR takes us along in his journey…
Here’s the movie’s official site, though in French it’s not hard to understand.
