When you think of Lady Gaga what’s the first thing that comes to mind? Meat dresses (aka PETA’s worst nightmare)? That video where she’s in prison with her butt all out? The Goo Goo Dolls? You know…because Gaga and Goo Goo go hand in hand in the world of babies. What you may not think of, however, is Polaroid. She’s been the Creative Director over there going on a year now, and finally that relationship is starting to bear some juicy, futuristic looking fruit in the form of the Polaroid Grey Label.
Everyone knows Purple Label is for old white dudes and Black Label is for super secret stealth ninjas. Grey is the color of the future. Gaga put her creative touches on three upcoming Polaroid products: the GL10 Instant Mobile Printer, the GL 30 Instant Digital Camera, and the GL 20 Camera Glasses. The GL10 Instant Mobile Printer is, as its name suggests, an instant mobile printer. Shocking, I know. It uses advanced Zink technology to print tiny little photos on the go and will be available in May for $150. Moving right along, the GL30 Instant Digital Camrea is what happens when an old Polaroid and a newfangled instant digital printer get together and have a baby. You can take digital photos using the camera and choose the totally awesome ones to print out and share with your friends (also using patented Zink technology). But the most wild, Gaga-esqure creation has to be the GL20 Camera Glasses: The glasses feature a camera and two LCD screens, so when you take a picture of whatever you’re looking at it’ll show up on the LCD screens for everyone else to see. You know how when people wear glasses and you’re left there wondering if they’re looking at you or just in your general direction? Well…problem solved!
No word on when the latter two will drop and how much they’ll cost, but my answers to those two questions are not soon enough and money is no object when it comes to camera glasses.
