If there’s one thing I love in life besides a gigantic stack of IHOP pancakes and Yorkshire Terriers , it would be jewelry.  I always try to keep a little bit of shine on my wrist, and rock more rings on occasion than Kobe Bryant and Liberace combined.  A passion for flashin’ is something that transcends gender,  and for you ladies out there who love having a little bling bling in your life there’s a special spot in DC just for you: Mia Gemma.  The small, fine jewelry shop features a unique collection of limited edition and one of a kind pieces handcrafted by various artists across the US and Europe chosen by owner Irene Barbieri.  In one corner you might come across a red and gold tribal beaded necklace.  In another you might find a pair of turquoise stone stud earrings.  Under a few of the stores glass cases lay bold, chunky bangle bracelets silver crocheted earrings.  Whatever you see, it won’t look anything like the last piece of jewelry you laid your eyes across while walking around the store.  Speaking of walking around, as you peruse the merchandise salespeople throughout the store will do their best to make sure you’re hood up with the perfect piece of jewelry for you.  You can detail your jewelry preferences and have items suggested to you based on that, or even have something you like customized further to fit your sense of style.
