Uffie

Uffie

♥♥ “Don’t worry if I write rhymes. I write checks.” That’s the message in Ed Banger artist Uffie’s latest song and video, “Difficult.” Using those infamous lines from a Diddy verse, Uffie’s latest single from her debut album, Sex Dreams And Denim Jeans is a super catchy pop song produced by French dance king SebastiAn.

The battle continues for Lupe Fiasco's "Lasers"

Lupe Fiasco

♥♥ “Industry rule #4,080: record company people are shady!”  Well at least according to A Tribe Called Quest and most recently Lupe Fiasco and his fans they are. The battle still continues to release his highly anticipated, third studio album, Lasers. According to Lupe, the album has been finished for over 2 years now. However, the public has yet to get their hands on it. In an effort to get Atlantic Records to release the album, a protest by his fans is scheduled outside of the record company’s offices in New York on October 15th. News of the protest may have now had some effect on a new release date of March 2011.

Little Miss Sunshine!

Little Miss Sunshine!

♥♥ Speaking of delays, it’s true that they’re not always such a bad thing, ya know? Baltimore native and N.E.E.T./Interscope recording artist Rye Rye‘s debut album, Go! Pop! Bang! was delayed because the artist gave birth to a baby girl in late 2009. She’s now back with a new single, “Sunshine” featuring musical mentor M.I.A. and a new release date of January 2011 for the album. Check out the video for “Sunshine” below!

“For Colored Girls” Soundtrack

The “For Colored Girls” official soundtrack drops on November 2nd. The film hits movie theaters on November 5th.
