Photo Of The Week: Dix Huitième by Sarah de Burgh

Sarah000024
Where was the photo taken?

It was taken right after a look book shoot I did for Panthèone in the
18th arrondissement in Paris through their office window… Near Porte
de Clignancourt…

What do you like about the image?

To me this what I love about Paris, not the Louvre or the rue Saint
Honoré… But these ugly buildings that surround Paris. I’m from the
suburbs of Paris… That’s what being just outside of Paris looks like
sometimes… and then the sun shines and makes everything a little
better.

What were you thinking before you shot the photo?

I’m gonna miss this place…

What were you thinking after?

I hope this photo is gonna be good !!

What camera did you use to shoot the picture?

I used my Minolta x-700 and a 50mm lens.

How did you get into photography?

I was given my mother’s old minolta because she had left it 20+ years
ago in Boston. I shot a whole roll and fell in love. I was traveling a
lot so I started shooting whatever I saw and haven’t stopped ever
since.

Upcoming project/events ?

I’m moving to New York!! So I guess It’s gonna be a life
change as much as carrier leap…!!
