♥♥ We’re loving the free-spirit, hippie vibe of all the pieces from Los Angeles line Odylyne!
♥♥ NYC-based Married to the Mob dropped their Fall II collection, featuring the lovely Shanell. According to MTTM queen bee Leah McSweeney, the new collection features “strong and in-your-face” tees while promising a marriage between streetwear and sophistication.
♥♥ The Uniform Project was launched in May of ’09 by Sheena Matheiken, who ditched the confines of a career in advertising to start this new mission. She wore the same dress for one year straight (yes, 365 straight days of the same outfit) as “an exercise in sustainability” and also to raise money for The Akanksha Foundation, which provides education to the children of Indian slums. Fast forward to May 2010: the year wrapped, and Matheiken had raised over $100,00 for The Akanksha Foundation. Back for year two, the second installation of Matheiken’s exercise will feature a series of monthlong fundraisers. On the first of every month, Matheiken and UP will unveil a different female in her version of the iconic LBD, designed with UP to raise money for a charity of her choice. First up, 17-year-old India, who raised money for an alternative school in New Orleans. Up next, Lesley Arfin will raise money for the NY branch of Phoenix House, a substance abuse treatment center. You can cop a limited edition run of each fundraiser’s dress at the UP store! Stay tuned for a the DIY platform that’s slated to launch, where you have the control to take on your own Uniform Project. (Step 1: pick your dress online and sign up for the launch – then put your design skills to the test!)
♥♥ NYFW may be over, but we can’t get Joanna Mastroianni‘s color-blocked and patterned minidresses out of our heads. Three of Mastroianna’s frocks were featured in the recent “Sex and the City” sequel; her muse for the collection was English potter Clarice Cliff.
♥♥ Miss Sixty is hitting the road! The brand is teaming up with Renault to release Twingo Miss Sixty, a car that will debut at the Paris Motor Show before becoming available to the public this November. Twingo is currently the smallest Renault model and was launched in 1993.
