Trina Turk opened her first retail boutique in the sunny escapist vacation town of Palm Springs, California. For this Spring, Turk is taking her brand back to where it all began by creating “something that you would wear if you were in Palm Springs for the weekend. You are going out, lounging poolside, the different activities you do.”
In a series of five lifestyle vignettes at the Trina Turk showroom, models displayed the bright swimwear, ready-to-wear and accessory line as Trina imagined they would be worn; chilling on the pool deck, sipping a frosty beverage at the bar, leisurely playing board games or chilling with friends, or having a bedroom flirt-a-thon with your paramour.
Turk’s signature prints in bright almost psychedelic patterns abounded interspersed with crisp whites and Spring ’11 on trend tans and beige. Standout pieces include rompers, breezy oversized knits and easy to wear embellished shift and maxi dresses. This season also showcased Turk’s new bedding line, with prints and colors perfectly aligned with the signature Turk aesthetic that are guaranteed to liven up any bedroom.
