There really isn’t much to say when it comes to Pringle of Scotland’s Spring RTW 2011 collection, it truly speaks for itself. With a past linked to Gucci and Calvin Klein, Pringle of Scotland’s head designer Clare Waight Keller mixes artistic minimalism with strong intelligent patterns.
The line draws inspiration from its Scottish background, where kilts are given a modern and elegant twist, while buckles, and stitching influence the collection’s A-line dresses; it also doesn’t hurt to have a muse like Tilda Swinton in house. The entire collection is very refined, chic and classy with clean-cut lines. The only drawback is the lack of tailoring when it comes to certain colored pieces, which in my opinion, make the models look a bit frumpy. It’s a strong and well-executed collection, otherwise! Enjoy!
