This year’s lineup of Fall colors is a far cry from well, “Fall”. With Autumn typically spawning a hodgepodge of gunmetals and predictable, “vampy” reds, the palette of 2010 is bold, beautiful, and BRIGHT. Ranging from Ginger + Liz Blowin’ Money Fast (a dark metallic teal) to Barielle Style in Argyle collection (a warm array of browns, plums, and golds), polish brands are offering up an assortment of “anything goes”; the perfect contrast to the season’s luxurious fabrics and leathers (black, black, and more black!)
Essie‘s Fall Into Fashion collection is inspired by trends spotted on the season’s runways. According to Essie Weingarten (Founder and President of Essie): “This fall, designers are mixing it up, combining sheer fabric with leather, along with lingerie as outer wear in deep, muted tones and bold color palettes which is very alluring. I drew inspiration from the range of elegant, sanguine hues and camouflage tones.”
Chanel introduces its Les Khakis Collection, a trio of muted neutrals (shades of brown, rose, and green) which you can wear separately or together for a camouflage effect. And staying true to their lady like reputation, cherry red Dragon adds a dash of heat to your nail wardrobe.
The Swiss Collection from OPI offers up an opulent array of blues and teals (a continuing trend), pearls and pinks, and everything in between.
M·A·C Nail Trend Fall 2010 By Jin Soon Choi serves up shimmer and sheen to blackened red, muted taupe, and cobalt blue. *Not shown: Rain of Flowers (blackened violet with violet shimmer), Imperial Flower (bright reddish orange with gold and red shimmer), and Jade Dragon (emerald green with teal shimmer).
