Five years ago Hellz Bellz, founded by designer Lanie Alabanza-Barcena, onto the male dominated streetwear scene with a subversive line of t-shirts. Since then, Hellz has branched off into a range of bold fashion alternatives ranging from edgy tops, jackets, denim, and accessories. Not one to embrace cute, girly trends, each piece has been influenced by things ranging from the streets of New York to sexploitation movies from the 60s and 70s.
Now, on the eve of brands fifth anniversary, Hellz is set to drop two collaborative watches in conjunction with Casio, Utilizing the always popular Baby-G model, The first watch, featuring a white face and polka dot band, draws inspiration from Lanie’s love of the 80s. The other, featuring a yellow face and a band reminiscent of New York taxi cabs, is meant to pay respects to the city of New York. Both watches feature a back glow effect and water resistant bodies.
These should be hitting retailers around September.
