Women Making History: Jennine Jacob of The Coveted

Jennine Jacob‘s fashion site, The Coveted, first caught our eye in early 2007 and it quickly proved to be appropriately titled so we wrote a little blurb about it. Soon after, the entire M.I.S.S. staff became devoted visitors to the site—along with others from all over the world—coveting Jennine’s wardrobe and her graceful ways.

In August of ’07, M.I.S.S Michelle, our lovely beauty editor at the time, and M.I.S.S. Founders M.I.S.S. Liz and M.I.S.S. GDK met the San Francisco-based blogger at a Glam Media event and they reported back how refreshing it felt to meet with someone who is passionate about what she does daily.

On The Coveted, the effortlessly chic Jennine documents her adventures in fashion, and also shares the scoop on beauty trends, vintage clothing, emerging designers, and how fashion and beauty relate to personal style. The site is also a great source for beauty tips, solutions, video tutorials, trends, and interviews with the pros (See “The Coveted Interviews M.I.S.S. Liz”).

Today we honor Jennine as a woman making history for helping us find fresh inspiration, to see our wardrobes in new ways and for helping unite the independent online fashion community.

Let’s get a little more familiar with Jennine Jacob:

Jennine Jacob has always had a sense of adventure, spending most of her youth traveling and wearing many hats, art, design, and dressing up. Ok… nothing’s changed. It was only a matter of time before she discovered blogging, a way to connect and share all the beautiful things life has to offer. Jennine graduated from the London College of Communications, an experience which still influences everything about The Coveted, from the design of the blog to the quest for international style. In her spare time, she loves eating candy and watching trashy TV. Jennine is also the founder of Independent Fashion Bloggers, a resource and community of fashion bloggers.
