It’s Not Easy Being (Chris) Breezy

Chris Brown

I know. You read the title of the post and it immediately put a frown on your face. I apologize, but I think its due time we addressed the issue. We all know of ‘the incident’ between our beloved Chris Brown and his island gyal Rihanna. Since then, both of their careers have taken a turn for the worse. Rihanna’s playing the slut card pretty well these days and Chris Brown has turned into a foul-mouthed sex fiend. IDK. I just don’t know what to expect next from these two. I guess one question ties all my thoughts together: Can Chris Brown ever redeem himself? His latest album, ‘Graffiti,’ didn’t do as well as expected (although I thought it was pretty freaking awesome) and now he’s dropping mixtapes with more curse words than a little bit.

Breezy has tried it all up to this point. He’s made an ass of himself on Larry King, apologized a million times, wore that ugly ass fluorescent orange vest while during community service, begged his fans to support him, and even threw a temper tantrum and deleted his Twitter. The baby is confused. Now, he’s using his gorgeousness to his advantage. He’s turned to his sexual side and is laying on the visual stimualtion thick in his new video ‘No Bullish.’ I cant lie, the boy is looking quite scrum-diddily-umptious. What do you ladies think? Is this enough to redeem the Prince of Pop’s sinking career or is there no coming back?

Is woman beating the one action you can’t come back from? Because there are other artists who have done the same. I don’t know how many of you recall this, but I’m certain it was Vibe that had a full spread -“Rap’s Black Eye” on women in hip-hop who’ve been hit. Then there’s Big Pun, BIG, James Brown, Jackie Wilson, Don Cornelius, the list goes on when it comes to famous men and domestic issues. Chris Brown was very young when this incident, that as far as we all know is isolated, happened. These other guys were grown ass men. Not only that, R. Kelly was selling records and winning awards and we knew he was molester. How was that forgivable? Kat Stacks recently got hit and most people turned into a laugh. I’m just saying. It’s very interesting who we decide to throw under the bus. Was Chris wrong? Hell yes. But he should be forgiven. And I’ll save my thoughts on Rihanna another day.
