Every woman has battled cellulite. It doesn’t matter how much you admire that seemingly perfect glamazon at the pool, bikini bods are MADE not born. Genetics, hormone levels, and lifestyle are all factors in the accumulation of cellulite. One of the main causes, however, is poor blood circulation, so exercise and an antioxidant rich diet is key to battling the bumps. Need a quick fix like I do? Luckily there are several products which help to reduce the appearance of cellulite. Scrubs help to bring blood to the surface of the skin, providing an instant, more tightened look. Fat Girl Scrub from Bliss contains red algae and Himalayan pink salt to boost circulation and decrease fluid retention.
Part of their Good-Bye Cellulite collection, Good-Bye Cellulite Gel-Cream from Nivea contains Lotus Extract (aids in renewing skin cells) and L-Carnitine (which is naturally found in the skin and supports the conversion of fat into energy). Paired with daily self-massage, the collection promises to help increase circulation, allowing skin to appear toned and taut.
For a quick fix, Benefit Cosmetics “Take A Picture It Lasts Longer” glimmering body balm adds a shimmery veil of golden-pink sheen to the skin. When swiped along the front of thighs and down the shins, the balm creates a slimming, more elongated effect. *Helpful if you’re short like me. A favorite of Jennifer Lopez, Body Bling from Scott Barnes is a sunless, tanning illuminator which comes in two shades: Original (for a natural tan) and Platinum (for a shimmering, champagne glow). The bronzer hides imperfections like dimples and veins while leaving legs golden and gorgeous.
