Satin and Lace. Swarovski pearls and wool felt. L.E.D. lights, stingray and more. These are only a few of the exciting and lux offerings from the Nina and Delman Fall ’10 collections. Last week while visiting the city that never sleeps, I had the opportunity to be wowed by light up shoes and impressed with exotic skins at the Nina/Delman showrooms. Both companies have seen more than their fair share of trends come and go. Nina started in 1953, while Delman has been in existence since the early 1900’s, so it’s more than fair to say that both companies continue to do it right.

Nina continues to offer styles in their staple satin fabric and always include a range of heel heights and styles for all ages and events. Some of the trends I saw present in their Fall ’10 offerings were lace, embellishments from jewels to bows and metallics. Silhouettes range from ankle booties to platform stacked heels keeping up with current fashion happenings. To add a bit of excitement and adventure to your footwear, Nina is offering a collection of “light-up” styles that come outfitted with L.E.D. lights that can be used for up to 300 hours, talk about taking your look from day to light!

Delman continues to impress with a perfect mix of classic fashion. Fem details like rosettes with Swarovski pearls were present as well as edgier details like grommets. This Fall also sees the introduction of an evening collection ranging from $250-275. Delman has always positioned itself as a brand that can dress you, your mother and your grandmother and this Fall collection holds true and does not stray from that path. The flat is a Delman staple and is offered in many styles and materials insuring their is something for everyone. Offering heels heights for all ages and staying “trend right not trendy” Delman continues to position itself as a go-to for effortless style that will last.
