SPRUNG is a newly created, lifestyle event series designed to put New York City based musical talent, fashion brands and local charities in front of downtown Manhattan’s top trendsetters.

Where: Crash Mansion – 199 Bowery, New York, NY 10002

When: Friday, April 9th, 2010 – Doors open at 9:30 P.M. – Show starts at 10 P.M.

The Artists

James Kinney  (www.jameskinneymusic.com) – Fresh off his return from South by Southwest, this Austin native has shared the spotlight with industry giants like The Roots, Ben Taylor, DJ Logic and John Legend.  Carly Simon has described James’ stage presence as “incredible” and James Cullem referred to Kinney as “the best freestyle artist [he’s] heard in ten years.”

NSR (www.iamnsr.com) – One of NYC’s most prominent new rappers, NSR is a 25 year-old emcee whose enigmatic energy, witty lyricism and unprecedented stage presence have landed him performances from Tenjune to The Jungle in Negril, Jamaica.  NSR is currently working with super producers, Souldiggaz, whose collaborations include the likes of Diddy, Beyonce, and Izza Kizza.

DJ Turbz (www.turbzmusicworld.com) – When the live music stops, SPRUNG continues with this critically acclaimed Boston native DJ/Producer.  Turbz has put together mixes for Terry Urban and Mick Boogie’s “The Press Play Show.”  You can also catch him spinning a weekly residency at The Rivington Hotel.

The Fashion

Triple L Society (www.triplelsociety.com) – Neoteric, yet remnant of primeval style, this up and coming clothing brand adheres to a simple mantra: Simply Live Life Lavish. Triple L Society has been featured inVibe Plus Magazine and Glamaddicts.  Rapper Kid Cudi and The Roots’ Questlove have been seen representing the brand.

Goddard Riverside Community Center (www.goddard.org) is one of New York City’s leading human service organizations.  They work to meet people’s basic needs – food, shelter, education – and bring them together for mutual aid, social action and to celebrate our richness as society.
