Wearing false eyelashes for a night out is standard in my beauty routine. They add drama, dimension, and completely transform the way you look in photos. I’m lucky to be semi pro in application, but even with my expertise, the glue can be a bit of a nightmare…especially when I’m in a hurry. I also REFUSE to spend a lot on lashes since you only get about three wears out of them and that’s IF you care for them properly.
Enter Revlon Fantasy Lengths Self Adhesive False Eyelashes. I received two pairs of lashes to review (500 and 501 Defining) and was a little skeptical at first; I’m known to carry extra lash glue in my bag for emergency touch ups. After opening the package, I noticed the lash stand was labeled with a “right” and “left” above each lash for foolproof application. In addition, each package includes an extra strip of adhesive, a lash applicator, and set of easy to follow instructions.
I loved the fact that there was no need to trim down the lashes, although you can if necessary. I have small eyes and they fit from end to end PERFECTLY. After a smooth application (there was no need to use the provided applicator, it’s THAT easy), I waited a few moments for the adhesive to “set”. From there I used my lash curler to further blend my natural lashes with the falsies and added two coats of my favorite mascara. Besides offering seamless application, the overall look is beautiful. Defined yet completely natural, with an adhesive band that isn’t too thick; an issue with a lot of falsies.
After about four hours (dinner, dancing, and a LOT of drinks), the lashes were still firmly in place with no need for a touch up. Revlon’s instructions offer tips on reusing, but because I had applied mascara to them, I followed my own -a gentle, yet thorough cleansing with oil free makeup remover, then air dried on the lash stand to keep their shape. To reuse the adhesive strip, all that’s required is the provided lash applicator to properly attach the lash to the strip. Remember there is only ONE adhesive strip, so in order for one more use, you definitely need to use a touch of glue.
Prices range from $4 to $6 and are now available at Walgreens, as well as several other mass retailers, which is convenient. Overall, I can’t wait to stock up on these, they’re MUST HAVES for beginners as well as pros. For more information on Revlon Fantasy Lengths False Eyelashes, visit online at Revlon.com.
