M.I.S.S. in the Mix: Trackademicks The [Re]Mixtape Vol. 3

Mixtape Vol. 3″]M.I.S.S. in the Mix: Trackademicks The [Re]Mixtape Vol. 3

Trackademicks became one of my favorites back when he did the the remix to E-40’s “Tell Me When to Go”. If you’ve never heard this track, GO FIND IT NOW. Mr. Track is back with a new mixtape, The [Re]Mixtape Vol. 3, and it is a collection of his official and unofficial remixes. The album is mixed by Track’s friend DJ Tap.10.

The mix is pretty good, specifically the “unofficial retwists” of Wale’s “Ice Cream Girls” and Kenna’s “Say Goodbye to Love”. Another standout track is Track’s remix to Little Dragon’s “After the Rain”. Track picked some great artists to feature – but the cutting of the mix could have been tighter, specifically on the Jazmin Sullivan and Daniel Merriweather tracks, both of which seem a little off beat at times. Plus, the added raps by his crew Honor Roll are a little freshman, if you get my drift. But the mix is great nonetheless. Download it yourself at RCRD LBL or simply stream it from the Fool’s Gold site.

Trackademicks hooked it up with a copy when I was vending at Beat Swapmeet. I’ve had the cd in my car for almost 2 weeks now, far from sick of it.
