Inspired by the world’s first moisturizer, Fresh introduced Crème Ancienne in 2005 – a line of skin care using a recipe that dates back to the Middle Ages. The recipe was kept alive by monks who guarded the secret and today, Crème Ancienne is still made by monks in pristine monasteries. The Crème Ancienne line proved to be so successful that Fresh recently added an eye cream to the line.
I received a sample of Fresh’s Crème Ancienne Eye Cream (complete with personal note from Fresh Founders Lez Glazman and Alina Roytberg) to try out. The directions said that for best results the cream should be used twice a day. I found that the cream was a bit on the heavier side, and I would recommend users to wear it at night only. That said, I still found the results to be amazing. After af few weeks, the skin around my eyes was smooth and soft and I felt that the fine lines that were starting to creep up were less noticeable.
So what makes Crème Ancienne Eye Cream so special? Aside from the age-old recipe made in small batches by hand in a monastery in the Czech Republic, the cream is full of natural ingredients like sugar appleseed extract, jojoba oil, seabuckthorn berry and rosemary leaf extract.
