M·A·C Makeup Looks at Paris Fashion Week: Pedro Lourenco, Vivienne Westwood Gold Label, and Maison Martin Margiela

The good people over at M·A·C were kind enough to share their facecharts from the Fall 2010 shows during Paris Fashion Week. Today’s facecharts include: Pedro Lourenco, Vivienne Westwood, and Maison Martin Margiela, whose shows took place on Friday, March 5th.

M·A·C artist, Diane Kendal created a natural, contoured face for the models at Pedro Lourenco. Said the artist,” It’s a no makeup makeup, about contouring and highlighting, with clothes so sculptural and designed, we wanted to bring back a freshness and ease to the look with the makeup and hair.”  M·A·C Studio Moisture Fix and Studio Sculpt Concealer were applied where necessary. Sculpting Powder in Sculpt was brushed on to contour, while Blush in Tenderling was added to the temples. Iridescent Powder in Silver Dusk was then applied to the cheekbones as a highlight. Paint Stick in Dark Brown and Cream Colour Base in Mid-Tone Sepia were blended into the crease of the eye and under the lower lashes. Creme Liner in Black lined the upper lash line with the finest trace and to stain the lower lashes. Iridescent Powder in Silver Dusk was added to highlight above the brow bone and inner corner of the lids and brushed onto brows. Impeccable Brow Pencil in Taupe and Dirty Blonde was then brushed up through the brow. Kendal kept the lips minimal by using only Lip Conditioner and Iridescent Powder in Silver Dusk (touched on the cupid’s bow of the lip).

“Hans Christian Andersen dark fairy tales. All about mass sexualization-is it a boy? Is it a girl? Is it a boy being a girl or a girl being a boy? We have two characters- a prince charming with furry, tortured brows and moustaches, and a heroine damsel in distress, with a Klimt-y eye and a cartoon line drawing of a mouth.” Said M·A·C artist, Val Garland of the looks at Vivienne Westwood Gold Label. For the Prince Charming look, Garland applied M·A·C Studio Sculpt Foundation as a base. Invisible Set Powder was added to set foundation and matte the skin. Cream Colour Base in Root contoured the cheeks, while Pro Neon Pigment in Rock-It Yellow was applied to the apples of the cheek. Cream Colur Base in Dark Brown was applied onto the inner brow bone, blended down to the side of the nose and across the socket line. Eye Kohl in Smolder was smudged into the brow for depth and also taken down the side of the nose to give a masculine edge (also lightly rubbed into the lash line). Liquid Liner in Boot Black was used to draw on a bushy, deranged brow. For lips, Garland again used Liquid Liner in Boot Black to draw on a moustache.

For the Damsel look, Garland applied M·A·C Studio Sculpt Foundation as a base, with Prep+Prime Transparent Finishing Powder to set foundation. Eye Kohl in Smolder was washed all over the upper and lower lids using a #224 brush, also involving the brows. The Eye Kohl was then drawn into the socket line from high on inner corner sloping downwards, to create a “sad” eye. Lashes were left bare. Liquid Liner in Boot Black was applied to draw on a cartoon bubble lip outline. Lipmix in Fuchsia was then painted in using a #194 brush. Pro Neon Pigment in Magenta Madness was then pressed on top.

M·A·C artist, Hannah Murray put together an imperfectly polished look for the models at Maison Martin Margiela. Said the artist, ” I liked the idea of classic perfection given an unusual twist: it’s a flawless, red lip given a conceptual “smudge” at one side.” M·A·C Face and Body Foundation was applied as a base, with Select Moisturecover Concealer applied where needed. Prep+Prime Transparent Finishing Powder was dusted around the nose and chin, while the rest of the face was left dewy. Eyes were basically bare with only Brow Set in Clear applied to groom the brow. Murray then applied Lip Pencil in Cherry to line the lips. Lipstick in Ruby Woo was painted on with a #316 brush in an opaque layer, then smudged slightly below the lower lip on one side (as if the girls had pulled it themselves with a finger). A touch of lipstick was then added to each girl’s finger/hand for a SUPER dramatized twist.
