We already showed you the Spring 2010 Lookbook for Roxy last week, but I also got the opportunity to check out the collection in person, and was really impressed with how Roxy has stepped up their game and created a colorful, more lifestyle based collection sure to please ladies from the beach to the streets.
Beside just getting to see and touch the clothes, the bloggers that were invited to the Roxy Suite were also invited to dress and style a mannequin using items from the collection to their desire. I was instantly drawn to a cape-style shirt with a rounded edge bottom that stood out to me as the most unique top from the collection, and the lovely suite hosts couldn’t wait to see how I styled it. I combined it with a pair of the motorcycle jeans, and a jersey necklace sash, stepped back and thought “girl, save your money. Buy these pieces when they drop!”
In addition to Spring goods, I got to check out some of the Summer pieces, and loved what I saw. There is a definite 80’s influence, but most of all, the theme of the collection is simply bold COMFORT. From the soft, slouchy asymmetrical tee with yellow stripes, to the harem crotch sweatshorts; mesh armpit knit top to the acid washed 80’s weight lifter pants, this collection provides pieces that will take you from the house to the beach, on a stroll around town and depending on how you style it, out for a night on the town.
Look out for the Roxy Spring collection which is hitting retailers and the Roxy website from now, through March and the Summer collection to follow it up in April.
