You whippersnappers have it go now a days with your new fangled MP3 players, . Why, back in my day we had to make due with cassette tapes that seemed to unravel if you looked at them funny. And while you young folk get to hit a button to skip to the songs you really want to hear, we had to hold down different buttons until we thought we were past the songs we didn’t want to hear…and 99% of the time we were wrong and had to repeat the process over and over again until we got it right. And on top of all that, once you got to the end of the tape, you had take it out, flip it over, and reinsert it again if you wanted to keep listening to some sweet tune-age. Don’t even get me started on the number of near death car accidents that used to cause.
You can’t exactly jam out to vintage Salt & Pepa on these, but this set of cassette tape inspired USB hubs by Marc Jacobs will certainly make all you fellow 80s babies nostalgic. Each “mixtape” features crude artwork and three USB ports to plug your expanding list of gadgets into. If Marc Jacobs made actual mixtapes, what do you think would be on it?
