Toofly Makes Me Forget My Fear of Sketchbooks!

Way back in the day, specifically 1st grade, I used to be REALLY good at drawing. No lie! My fully-formed stick figures blew the rest of the class’ chicken scratch out of the water! Those days, sadly, are long gone, but the failed talent of my youth still plagues me. Sometimes, when I’m in the art supply story to pick up crafty items, I’ll longing walk up and down the sketchbook aisle, fantasizing about what it would be like if I could put pen to paper and create visual masterpieces. The larger sketchbooks are so intimidating, mostly because I know that I’ll only be able to fill them with stick figures and pseudo-graffiti tags that look like they were crafted by a 2nd grader. That’s why I’m happy to hear that renowned artist Toofly has taken artist-wannabes like me into consideration and make a mini-sketchbook just in time for the holidays!

Only 50 of the sketchbooks were created, all handcrafted and signed by Toofly.

The Toofly pocket sketchbook is 32 pages of high-quality, eco friendly 100% recycled paper perfect for all of your (quasi) art needs, but also perfect for sticking in your purse as a notepad on the go.  This beauty comes complete with saddle-stitch binding, elegant rounded corners, and is printed with one of Toofly’s favorite girl mark illustrations on the cover. Only 3.5″ W by 5″H, it is the ideal size for carrying around with you whenever you need to scribble, doodle, or sketch out a masterpiece. Or, in my case, when you’ve given up on visual art but now create art through words, it’s perfect for jotting down some poetry or hilarious future tweets on the go. Toofly has created only 50 sketchbooks, all which have been signed and numbered by the artist herself. The sophisticated little sketchbook is available to purchase at Toofly’s store, but you’ll need to get yours quick before the limited pieces sell out (just in time for the Holidays). I can’t wait to cop my own, and never be intimidated by the sketchbook aisle at the art supply store ever again!

Get one for you, Gee! And don’t be intimidated- some artists I love are all about the chicken scratches and I love them. Everybody has their own sketch talent. :)

The sketch book aisle is very intimidating!!! There are just too many to chose from. This is perfect though! Eco-friendly and small enough to fit in my purse. GOT to get one!
