The weather in my part of town has been a bit glum lately. Although I’m all for some showers and cool wind, the constant grey skies have me craving some sunlight but I’m stuck with piling on the heavy layers to protect my precious self from the cold wet weather. When I laid my eyes upon Jackson, Johnston & Roe, my need for the Spring and Summer season just grew tenfold.
This line of clothing is casual and chic. The concept revolves around travel and being able to take the collection with you on a journey. There’s a hint of slim Parisian style to it that’s reminiscent of the looks you might catch on Garance Dore or The Sartorialist. The collections versatility is owed to its solid colors and simple shapes, consisting of shades of the sea side, warm sun and berries, coupled with hand painted accents. Everything from sleeveless tops and blouses, shorts, pants, skirts, lightweight dresses and swim wear are featured.
The collection lives up to the concept beautifully and makes me wish that I can pack up the collection in it’s entirety and buy a plane ticket to a place warm and sunny.
