As an “adult” who now lives in a joke of a 20’x20′ cell box– I mean NYC studio apartment–one of the sadder parts of growing up was parting with my pets. Growing up, my German Shepard Mono was a girls’ best friend (he was there when I rode my bike, when I needed a nighttime snuggle, and tagged along when I beat up that girl who lived down the block in 5th grade), and as much as I love living in the Big Apple, I couldn’t bear the thought of keeping a pet like Mono in such a small living space.
But for those of you who live in normal sized apartments, and in Karmaloop hometown Boston, the streetwear brand is facilitating with their Globaloop “Pet of the Week”. A new weekly broadcast, “Pet of the Week” sees Karmaloop working directly with the Animal Rescue League to feature pets in need of a happy home. AND Camera Dude Gabe. This week’s pets are lovable kitties Daybreak (an adorable two year old stray) and Rosemary, who Gabe swears is “calm, quiet, sweet, and charming”. Interestingly enough, these are all qualities Dave claims he is looking for in a lady, and which I happen to possess (hey, my apartment may be too small for a full time pet, but other visitors are welcome from time to time!)… Meowww?
