Corey Helford Gallery is proud to present “Immortal Artifacts”, an exhibition of extraordinary new works by highly-collected artist Kukula. For her first solo show with the gallery, Kukula delights audiences with her unique fusion of childhood innocence and deliciously dark narratives. Inspired by the artist’s love of classical art and music from the Renaissance era to Art Deco, Kukula’s graceful and elegant nymphs sparkle in a whimsical wonderland of jewel tones and gothic symbolism. “Immortal Artifacts” is Kukula’s most ambitious show to date, both stylistically and thematically. Her collection of new paintings and drawings represents a year of work, resulting in larger and more elaborate imagery than before. Open to the public, the reception for “Immortal Artifacts” will take place on Saturday, December 19 from 7 to 10 pm and the show will be on exhibit until January 9, 2010.
Born in a village near Tel Aviv, Kukula was raised on equal parts princess fantasies and World War II horror stories. After receiving her degree in illustration from Vital-Shenkar in 2003, Kukula moved to San Francisco where she resides today. Kukula’s paintings center on feminine, doll-like figures, often surrounded by objects with sometimes clear, and sometimes obscure symbolic meaning. Her work combines classical European art forms with contemporary pop culture, resulting in a signature style that reflects her personal experiences and multi-cultural heritage. Kukula has exhibited at numerous galleries including CoproNason, Thinkspace, Shooting Gallery and Roq La Rue. For more information about the artist, please visit kukulaland.com.

He has made his stamp in central areas like Tokyo, New York, Madrid and San Francisco just to name a few. His works has no obvious meanings, but have sparked a very interesting tone amongst art collectors and people interested in his style of guerrilla marketing.
