Shinobi Ninja live at their studio in NYC!

It’s time to bring back the rock to M.I.S.S. Crew!

This week on M.I.S.S. TV, we are bringing you exclusive concert footage and an interview with the Brooklyn-based band Shinobi Ninja. A sextet of hard-rocking, hip hoping party kids, Shinobi Ninja has been playing together for a little over a year and has steadily garnered their fair share of notice and fans.

Working as musicians and music industry professionals separately for many years, the members of Shinobi Ninja–frontman DA, singer Baby Girl, guitarist Mike, drummer Dave, bassist Adriano and DJ Axis–bonded over their love of rocking out and putting on a good show for the crowd. Influenced by classic metal bands like Metallica, 90s grunge favorites Nirvana and random non-rock staples like Janet Jackson, the group strives to create multi-layered high energy music that crosses all genres and appeals to a wide spectrum of fans. They’ve already amassed a large following online and have played at Afropunk festivals and headlined the Tumblr concert in New York.

M.I.S.S. caught the group’s high-energy performance at this year’s CMJ festival in New York and have an EXCLUSIVE live cut of their hit “Brooklyn to Babylon”. We also sat down with the high energy bunch to talk influences, music making, tentative record titles, Baby Girl’s favorite phrase (“they’re out of control right now!”) and… LURKING! Check out the video below and  keep checking in with M.I.S.S. TV for more exclusive live cuts from the band coming soon!
