Metal Face, Metal Fingers or simply MF….Doom! The man born Daniel Dumile has done some stellar tracks as MF Doom, King Geedorah/King Ghidra, Viktor Vaughn, in Danger Doom (with Danger Mouse), in Madvillain (with Madlib), and as a member of KMD. Doom has set himself apart from other rappers of this era with his wierdo lyrics, penchant for wearing a mask at all times, and for teaming up with unconventional producers like Four Tet and Dabrye. These collaborations and remixes make up some of my favorite Doom tracks, along with the first (and arguably, the funniest?) Doom song I have ever heard, “Let Me Watch,” alongside female rapper Apani B Fly.

A brief musical tutorial on Doom below!!

Shortly after laboring over this amazing sonic masterpiece for M.I.S.S., Doom released Unexpected Guests, which is “A collection of non-album tracks, guest features, and exclusives selected and sequenced by the Super Villain himself.” But I’m not mad at the newly released disc, because the mix has very few of the same tracks as the one I put together. Now it’s DOUBLE the impending DOOM! Bwwhahahahaha………Oh! And the most Unsuspected Guest of all on the project?

The Sunflower on the album cover.
