M·A·C Makeup Looks At Paris Fashion Week S/S 2010: Gareth Pugh and Tim Van Steenbergen

The good people over at M·A·C were kind enough to share their facecharts from the Spring/Summer 2010 shows during Paris Fashion Week. Today’s facecharts are brought to you by Gareth Pugh and Tim Van Steenbergen, whose shows took place on Wednesday, September 30th.

Gareth Pugh

“The skin looks like it had ash explode onto it. We are building fine layers of gray. It’s like a moth’s wing-delicate and deadly.”- M·A·C artist, Alex Box

Eyes- Scene, Haux, and Coquette eye shadows were blended into the crease of the eyelids, as well as the inner and outer corners of the eyes. Cherry Lip Pencil was buffed underneath the lower lash line, leaving a gap between the lash line and the color. Brows were “erased” with M·A·C Pro Full Coverage Foundation and GLUE.

Face- M·A·C Pro Full Coverage Foundation was blended onto skin as a base. M·A·C Pro Invisible Set Powder was used to set foundation. Using an airbrush, M·A·C Pro Micronized Airbrush Formula in Grey was sprayed over the entire face.

Lips- M·A·C Pro Full Coverage Foundation was applied again, to sort of erase the feature. A touch of Scene eye shadow was then placed under the bottom lip.

M·A·C artist, Nadine Luke used a neutral palette for Tim Van Steenbergen’s runway, contouring cheeks and creating a perfect balance with shadow and light. Says the artist, ” When the right lightening struck, it created romantic determination- cheekbones are lifted and shine says bonjour in all the right places.”

Eyes- Sculpt and Shape Powders in Shadester and Sculpt and Soba and Espresso eye shadows, blended together from the inner corner of the eyelids up to the eyebrows. Root Cream Color Base was applied along the lower lash lines. Emphasize Sculpt and Shape Powder was used as a highlight, no mascara.

Face- Studio Sculpt Foundation kept skin matte and flawless. Mineralize Skin Finish Natural in Dark and Medium was applied with an angle brush to contour the forehead and cheekbones. Emphasize Sculpt and Shape Powder was used to highlight the tops of cheekbones and the bridge of the nose.

Lips- M·A·C Pro Lip Erase in Dim was patted onto lips for a naked effect.
