NEW M.A.C. Trend F/W ’09

Lipstick in Hipster, Red Full Stop, Faultlessly, and Our Pick

The days are getting shorter, it’s getting darker earlier, and the newest drop from M.A.C. called M.A.C. Trend F/W ‘09 suits the change in weather perfectly. MAC says the colors in the collection “are an expression of the backstage trends, and ode to the modern woman, rendered with true architectural precision.” It is so pretty, and a great compliment to the M.A.C. x DSquared group of products.

Tone:Grey palette and Asphalt Flower

Personally, a favorite look of mine has always been the contrast of nudes and darks – either your lips are nude with a smoky eye or you have a dark lip with barely-there doe-eyes. With this new collection, you can definitely achieve this runway look! The drop features a lid palette called Tone: Grey with four smudg-a-licious colors, 4 lipsticks called Faultlessly (the darkest, and lovely at that), Our Pick (bronzy nude), Red Full Stop, and a berry color called Hipster (ha). The 3 sexy Lipglass shades include a nude called Runway Fave, Newberry, and a dark, beautiful Lipglass called So This Season – and it is! The line is also featuring a portable fragrance roller called Asphalt Flower. So change that Stella you have in your purse and try something new!

Lipglass in Runway Fave, Newberry, and So This Season (L-R)

I am gonna grab the Runway Fave, which looks a lot like MAC’s Lipglass C-Thru, a former go-to of mine. Faultlessly also looks like a must-have, especially for those too square to go for the black lipstick that’s out there now. You can grab these looks here at the MAC website…and cop soon, you never know when MAC will make a color part of their permanent collection!

Also, if you have had a favorite from MAC before but can’t find it anywhere anymore because it was a seasonal or limited edition item, here’s a little tip for you: MAC has a program called Gone But Not Forgotten, and if you give them a little ring, they will do a search for you and find it for you! Fantastic news for me, especially since I LURVED the Hello Kitty Lipglass in Fast Friends. They say on their site that they don’t find/search for seasonal or limited items, only those which are discontinued, but they found my fave with no problem, so I think it’s worth a shot! Check out the Gone but Not Forgotten steeze!
