New Shoe Woo Flagship on 59th & Lexington in NYC

We were invited to a fantastic press preview of the new Shoe Woo flagship on 59th and Lexington Ave in New York City the other day.  Shoe Woo is a collaborative shoe boutique featuring multiple brands such as Nine West, Enzo Angiolini, Bandolino, Rachel Rachel Roy, Circa Joan & David, AK Anne Klein, Sam & Libby, Boutique 9, and Joan & David all under one roof.  After testing the waters in Edison, New Jersey and Washington, D.C., Shoe Woo has finally made it to New York City!

The Shoe Woo Family

The Shoe Woo flagship features two stories to shop, with an attic-like mezzanine on the second floor, overlooking the main space. Everywhere you turn there are boots, heels, and flats, sure to keep shoe lovers happy, while the space is also and is accented with accessories and sweet candy treats.

Members of the press were treated to delicious hors d’oeuvres, ranging from caviar to chicken dumplings that looked like fortune cookies, with cotton candy and peanut butter and marshmallow mini-cone dessert, while we perused the store checking out all of the great shoes, or relaxed while we got manicures (from the same lovely technicians that Gabriella and I saw at the Victoria’s Secret Lounge during Fashion Week) or had a tarot reading.

I showed up wearing the only pair of decent flats I have, and although they look good from the top,  I say decent liberally. They’re vintage electric blue snakeskin, and I love them to pieces, but unfortunately due to age, the soles are separating from the shoe. Fortunately, there was some Shoe Woo to the rescue! With a special press discount, I was able to snag a pair of black Nine West Peacock flats (I was so tempted to get the bronze ones as well, but I’m broke and  had to be sensible). I had my eyes on some boots, but with my beloved flats in peril, I just had to find a stand-in to help preserve what’s left of them before they became unfixable.
