M.I.S.S. PROJECT: Villains & Vagabonds SS10

Villains & Vagabonds

Your wardrobe for spring 2010 would not be complete without some staple tees, and by that we mean the sick graphic printed ones. From the looks of the goods delivered by Villains & Vagabonds for SS10 at the recent Project Tradeshow, these are going to be the ones we need! The ladies over here at M.I.S.S. were already impressed with the selection we peeped in July, and it seems we are in for more next season.

Wish bones and Peace y'all!!

Wish bones and Peace y'all!!

Nicholas Burgess, owner and designer of V&V, has come through with a new selection of cool tees; all of which are sewn and cut in LA, for the ladies. Burges has stuck with his edgy, ‘Ima tough-chick’, style prints for the SS10 collection of t-shirts, with the use of weapons of mass destruction (you know…the likes of guns and knifes) still evident. However, what does differ is the message that is portrayed across the tees. SS10 for Villains & Vagabonds means peace and love: no more hardcore, bandana-upped, female bandits handling guns in stick-up style scenarios (dammit)! Now, we welcome the message of the 70s: Peace and Love y’all. Forget brandishing guns, its all about brandishing peace signs! The classic image of a gun shooting out a rose over a bullet has been reworked by V&V, with the choice of a bright sunflower rather than the overrated rose. What is really effective in this printed tee is the use of a full coloured psychedelic peace sign against a contrasting black/white gun and petal – signifying the importance of the message over the image of a weapon.

Native American themed prints also make a debut for V&V SS10, with the use of dream catchers and feathers on a couple of the new tees. Again, peace signs are being thrown around with 70s hippy style colours onto these hot tees!

The new prints are just as sick as ever, and the use of lesser badass prints does not mean Villains & Vagabonds SS10 are not badass all the same! V&V still have the edge and are bringing 70s style fire for the summer of 2010, we love the new tees just as much as the bad chicks one! Don’t worry Villains & Vagabonds have not gone soft on our asses ;-D.
