Undrest presents their Spring 2010 collection at Project

Things got a little heated in Vegas at the PROJECT Tradeshow as Undrest presented their Spring 2010 collection of undergarments, and for the first time since it’s inception, swimwear!

The collection is all about florals, cotton gowns and strapless pieces; all of which spell out CUTE in a bold font. Undrest strictly started as a lingerie brand in 2007 by designer Maria Paz Navales; however her swimwear assortment, the annex “by the sea”, will be available next Spring! No need to fret, since M.I.S.S had a preview, we definitely won’t hold out on you. Spring 2010 is looking quite vintage, as some of the swimwear is made from the same cotton used for swimsuits in the 1950s. Lightweight, it dries quickly, and even ice water couldn’t temper the heat you’d be emanating while wearing these suits.

Expect comfort from the whole Undrest diaspora composed of three branches: los angeles, couture and by the sea, as previously mentioned. Undrest uses American grown and American made 100% Supima Cotton, all the while being touched up with the finest trims from France, Italy and Japan. More specifically the cotton is grown in California and the garments are made in LA, under fair wage; always a comforting thing to hear. Even so, this line is very inspired by Brazilian culture, as it is apparent in the classic Brazilian cut used for each piece.

Navales’ brainchild redefines “sexy” by proving that thongs are not the only panties that can make you feel like a woman. Their haute couture branch features their most popular styles in 100% silk satin chiffon, and they gave us a taste with their black satin bottom with the frills.  A few other worthy mentions would be the very soft and feminine see-through intimate, the pink top and bottom (opaque by the way), which are adorned with bows and frills, making lounging around the house a comfortable yet fashionable affair and the bright yellow bikini, sure to compliment sun-kissed skin.

Undrest is also home to summer tops one could just throw over their swimsuit while lounging on the beach. The swimwear leads you along the path of craving summer once more, and makes you miss late nights with the girls without having to worry about school the next morning, downing smoothies and wearing next to nothing, in a tasteful way, of course. Oh well, at least spring 2010 is not that far away.

Shop the Undrest online store to perchance purchase their previous/current collections!
