So it’s safe to say the sneaker market is a little oversaturated with apparent “exclusive” drops of the newest, shiniest kicks happening what feels like every few minutes. Enter Tretorn: a refreshing return to simple, laid-back, budget friendly footwear. Taking inspiration from its Scandinavian roots, Trethorn makes their product for those with a practical sensibility and lifestyle largely enjoyed outside.
Consisting of rain boots and classic styled sneakers, the Tretorn Spring 2010 collection demonstrates a commitment to quality over the usual hype surrounding sneaker releases. My personal fave would have to be the Nylon model – a new version of the vintage trainer, coming in navy, yellow, or pink suede with a little plaid accent on the side. Not only were the designers inspired by The Preppy Handbook – the brand is also sitting pretty featured on page 129.
