Did you know that it’s good to recycle? Not only is it good for the environment, but thanks to Tyler Bender Book Co., it’s great for bringing life back to forgotten items such as unwanted library books, old record covers, and any other salvageable vintage materials they can get their hands on. Just imagine your favorite childhood book being completely gutted and its insides being replace with plain sheets of stark white paper just waiting for you to put a pen to them and maybe create your own story. Cool, right? All of Tyler Bender’s products are hand crafted and bound with 100% recycled paper in Los Angeles, keeping true to it’s crafty and creative roots.
Being a veteran journal writer and obsessive compulsive doodler, I’m more than excited about Tyler Bender’s product. The company’s collaboration with New York illustrator and pattern maker Samantha Hahn resulted in the production of a collection of fabric bound journals that sport Samantha’s ‘starlet print’. The prices for these products is more than reasonable with retail being around $7, $10, and $13.00. Shopping for these various product is available online, as well as the unique option to place custom orders. Between you and me, I’ve already ordered a custom journal to be made from one of my favorite books, “Curious George”. I can’t WAIT to get it!
