Steven Shein is no rookie when it comes to making jewelry. His fun, eccentric collection of rings, necklaces, bangles and earrings have been produced for the past five years. They boast tons of color, geometric shapes, and cute characters. The laser-cut plastic trinkets are all hand-crafted in Los Angeles, where Shein is based out of, so it should be no surprise to find influences from LA’s past fads, trends and many subcultures in the pieces. Many L.A. based artists and celebs rock Steven Shein such as Hilary Duff, Paris Hilton, and Jessica Alba. And who wouldn’t? Shein’s jewelry come out to a reasonable $19 to $65.
At Pool, Shein showcased large bangles, matching necklaces and rings with words like “NO,” “YES,” “LOVE,” and “RAD”, graphic earrings with colors and blocks reminiscent of pixelated arcade games, and many more chunky pieces. Besides being big, bright and sometimes glittery, the pieces sometimes look good enough to eat! Like hard candy you can wear.
