Strolling through the streets of New York you’d be hard-pressed to find a wall that doesn’t have some type of graffiti scrawled across it. New Yorkers are accustomed to it – it essentially becomes ingrained in the setting itself. Thus, it’s only natural that these designs would translate onto wearable garments, albeit T-shirts sporting graffiti-inspired graphics usually err on the tacky side in our opinion.
We were pleasantly surprised with Graffinis Swimwear, a New York City-inspired line composed of both bikinis and one-pieces and graffiti graphics. Maybe it’s the true-to-life images used on these pieces – inspiration comes straight from photos of actual NYC graffiti – that makes the raw designs on these bathing suits so appealing to us. Either way, we think Graffinis swimwear perfectly portrays the grittiness of New York City streets that we’ve grown to love.
There’s a few different cuts to choose from – a string bikini or deep-V one-piece – and these suits are a surefire way to stand out on any beach. Summer may be slowly dwindling but consider these pieces for your next big vacay – spring break or otherwise – that you’ll need a fab and intriguing bathing suit for. Prices start at about $130 but none peak over $200 – a fair price tag for such an inspired suit.
