Melissa Shoes - Vivienne Westwood Dragon Lady, Zaha Hadid for Melissa, Ultragirl with Bow

If this late-summer NYC weather is any indication of what’s to come in the Fall….we are going to need some rubber shoes.

We were obsessed with the Melissa x Vivienne Westwood Dragon Lady heart detailed sling-back pumps when they came out last season. Brooklyn boutique Epaulet just announced a whole new lot of Melissa x Vivienne Westwood styles, and they are all sexy as well as practical. Much like the Dragon Lady pumps, the new Melissa x Vivienne Westwood Lady Dragon Bow pumps are going to be the “it” shoes for Fall 2009. The bows are not so subtle that they become lost in the design of the shoe, but not so loud that they are overpowering. They come in 5 delicious shades: Yellow, emerald, red, black with bow, and black with tortoise bow.

Another standout that is even more practical than the Dragon Lady Bow shoe is the Vivienne Westwood Ultragirl Fall ’09 Restock. These are for the ladies running from train to train in NYC and picking up their kids on the way. The best part of the shoe is the combination of the sleek black and the marbled tortoise details. This shoe is a good method of getting around buying a pair of black flats and a pair of brown flats – All you need is one pair!

Lastly, Epaulet recently debuted their brand-spankin’ new line, Zaha Hadid for Melissa.  Epaulet is the exclusive first US retailer of these abstract shoes! Zaha Hadid is a British Iraqi deconstructivist architect and the first female recipient of the Pritzker Architecture Prize.  She is most famously known as the designer of the Chanel Mobile Art Pavillion.  Epaulet is boasting their arrival, saying, “Simply put: these are some of the most iconic and unique womens shoes ever conceived.”
