Hellz Bellz Fall 1 2009 Has Arrived

hellz fall 09 - 1

…and damn it’s looking good!

Hellz Bellz never fails to bring it each season. The new Fall 1 2009 delivery called “Style Warriors” was designed with iconoclast women in mind. In Lanie’s own words, the clothing was “designed to celebrate women who escape the mundane and predictable in every facet of their lives,” a direction successfully achieved with a unique Aztec-inspired color story, use of ethnic prints, and new silhouettes.

The collection colors– navy, red, elephant grey, and black– is presented as solids, in plaids, and in patterns drawn from different cultures, all of which are combined in ways that make for a bold collection. It’s the type of innovation that many have come to expect from Hellz given the labels repertoire of statement pieces in past collections. This season, the “Defensive” woven shirt is an example of how Hellz never settles for the basic silhouette and instead finds a way to add a twist. A plain button-up woven shirt? Not if Hellz can help it! Which it has with solid/plaid color blocking, ruffle detail and a slit in the back. And what would a Hellz collection be without some stylized jeans in the mix? The “Taxi” jean, which comes in black and indigo vintage washes  will be a must this Fall with it’s functional padding to keep you warm when temperatures drop.

So much can be said about Hellz Bellz and what the label’s doing for women’s fashion but we’ll leave you M.I.S.S. readers to witness with your own eyes the creative ingenuity that constantly stems from Hellz.
