After 20 years, ANDAM is still going strong as the association which bestows the most prestigious fashion award a budding designer can recieve. To mark the milestone, ANDAM gave three recent Fashion Award recipients the opportunity to collaborate with luxury leather goods company, Longchamp. The award recipients Jeremy Scott, Charles Anastase, and Desiree Heiss and Ines Kaag of Bless will give their personal design touch to Longchamp’s signature “Pliage” bag.
The Pliage collaborations won’t be available until October 1st but a preview of the Bless x Longchamp Pliage design can be seen above. Heiss and Kaag created a Pliage that can collapse into it’s handle which has been altered from the basic hand straps to a donut-like handle. What one might use the bag for while in it’s donut form is a mystery (head rest perhaps?), unless it’s purely for compact storage when the bag isn’t in use. Whatever the case, the collaborations are bound to add to Longchamp’s collection of must-have bags.
