So far, this summer’s definitely had its fair share of less-than-perfect weather. The nonstop rain has undoubtedly dampened a few spirits, but instead of letting a few showers ruin these precious summer months, think of it as an opportunity to add to your wardrobe a few unique pieces you otherwise wouldn’t think to acquire. Exhibit A: Mackage’s packable raincoats, which are not only intricately detailed, they fold neatly into a compact that you can easily tote along! Mackage also offers trench coats with feminine designs and trendy, of-the-moment accents.
A raincoat may not be among the outerwear you thought you’d be looking to purchase this July and August, but the times are a-changin’ and your wardrobe must adjust accordingly! Mackage’s “packable” jackets for women, the Pearl and Reece, are especially fitting for those “iffy” days, when clouds hover ominously, threatening rain but the weatherman’s adamantly promising a cloudy, rain-less day. Stow your Mackage packable raincoat in your handbag so you can be prepared in case the weatherman just happens to be wrong – you wouldn’t want a downpour to ruin your styled hair and makeup!
Both the Pearl and Reece are fitted to hug the contours of your body in just the right places; the Pearl is a waist-length coat featuring a bomber-style design, while the Reece boasts a just-above-the-knee cut and puffy forearm sleeve accents. Not only are these coats functional – they’re fashion forward as well. Both raincoats are available in every fashionphile’s favorite hue, black. The Pearl retails at $220 and the Reece will run you a bit more at $275. (There’s also a mens version, dubbed the Eliot, featuring a waist-length cut and two large side pockets. The Eliot retails at $220.)
Mackage also offers an array of trench coats that feature the same fashion-forward designs as its packable raincoats. The Ebony, Jules, Summer, Casey, Izzy, and Beth feature waist-hugging silhouettes and are available in black and white. We’re loving the Jules coat, a belted piece with a pleated skirt detail. Another favorite is the Beth raincoat, featuring a wide-collared neck and large button accents. Mackage trench coats will cost slightly more than its packable coats, with a price range of $352 to $550.
Mackage has definitely taken the raincoat to a whole new level, eliminating the drab factor that usually accompanies rain-appropriate outerwear! You can scoop up Mackage pieces via the Mackage online store, where you can also peep the brand’s leather jackets. Enjoy! The mere images of these coats have us embracing the rain already.
