Would you like to know what fashion royalty looks like? Well look no further!
Art Director, muse, sometime model, and aspiring designer, Julia Restoin-Roitfeld has lived a beautiful existence thus far. Well I’m guessing that comes with the territory if your mother happens to be Carine Roitfeld the Editor-in-Chief of French Vogue.
Raised in Paris, Julia graduated from the Parisian affiliate of Parsons School of Design and has worked under Fabian Baron of the acclaimed luxury advertising and branding company Baron & Baron Inc. Her work with that company forged a pretty impressive path; she was the creative force behind Rock & Republics FW08 campaign which starred her brother Vladamir.
Recently Julia has been featured in an editorial spread for British Harper’s Baazar, as well as involved with countless other ads for designers such as The GAP, denim brand Restoration to the Monarchy, and Spanish label Mango, where she shared the spotlight along side her brother. Some call her an unconventional beauty, who’s striking resemblance to her mother Carine, has made her a favorite of many notable designers. Family friend Tom Ford made Julia the face of his first fragrance ‘Black Orchid’ all the way back in 2006.
Although Julia has a bunch of model credentials behind her, come this August, the 28 year old can add one more to her growing resume as the face for Jil Sander’s newest fragrance ‘Jil’.
The advertising campaign will be shot by Dutch fashion photographer Jan Welters and fragrance is due to make it’s appearance come August. This means that during the next few months when you’re flipping through your fashion magazines be on the look out for Julia Restoin-Roitfeld to be smiling back at you!
