The weather’s heating up, so stow away your winter-weight bomber jacket and get stoked to meet your next must-have tee this season: one from 55DSL’s latest artist collaboration collection, dubbed the 10.55 Black Series. Italian streetwear brand 55DSL debuted the limited edition Black Series just last month, showcasing a collection of eight (mostly) black T-shirts – five for men, three for the ladies – each one designed by a different artist, each sporting a unique graphic.
While it began as an offshoot of well-known denim retailer Diesel, 55DSL is certainly carving out its own niche on the streetwear scene. The brand reins in fresh design perspectives each season, when Creative Director Andrea Rosso scours the globe in search of artists to design the next artist collaboration with 55DSL. Making the roster for Spring ’09 are Adam Cruickshank, Design is Kinky, Dawid Kiljan, Francesca Chiani, Yo Clas!, Kia’, Mel Kadel, and Meredith Dittmar. Find out more about each of the participating artists via 55DSL’s release, where you’ll also be able to check out each designer’s tee.
Once you’ve done that, check out the list of DSL flagship stores and global 55DSL retailers in order to get your hands on this wearable art. While you’re browsing the Web, take some time to join 55DSL’s Facebook group and peep the 55DSL MySpace page. For all of you out there who are tweeting, follow the 55DSL Twitter as well.
