Where’s Wally a fashion icon? (Or Where’s Waldo depending on what part of the world you’re in). The red and white striped jumper wearing friend from our childhood made an appearance on the State of Georgia Pop-Up show runway during the Loreal Melbourne Fashion Festival.
No models wearing the stripey jumper though – rather they’ve raided his accessories collection for beanies and round-rim glasses. The childhood theme carries through the collection with a mix of cute detailed prints, plaid patterns, biker jackets, and girly dresses with a rock edge. And check out the heels!
From a dance and acting background, designer Georgia Hall confesses to being a bit of a hippie and performer at heart, and loved to play dress-ups as a kid (didn’t we all?). “I like putting my signature on vintage inspired pieces and bringing in a modern fashionable element. History and dance are my passions – old scrapbooks, photos, album covers and books influence me daily.”
Colours were perfect for the southern hemisphere’s autumn – which temperature-wise currently isn’t much different to summer! Once the cold hits though add some boots and leggings and these will carry you through all year round.
