Ever wonder what kinda chemicals are in your nail polish? ‘Cause we have – and with the onslaught of natural and environmentally-friendly products hitting the market these days – ranging from organic food and produce to all-natural makeup – it’s only right that an eco-friendly nail polish should be stocked on store shelves, too.

Nicole by OPI’s slogan “Respect Yourself. Respect the World.” pretty much says it all. The polishes – which are available in traditional bottles as well as easy-application polish sticks (“Nic’s sticks”) – are free of chemicals like formaldehyde, toluene, DBP. The polishes aren’t tested on animals, and the glass packaging is recyclable. Wanna know more? We figured as much, so read on.

For those of you who think that being eco-friendly limits the range of colors to earthy brown tones, think again. Nicole by OPI stocks all the hues of the nail polish rainbow, so whether you’re in the mood for a bright pink to complement a fabulous tan or you’re craving an edgy turquoise, Nicole by OPI’s got you covered – all while staying environmentally friendly and saving your nails from being subjected to harsh chemicals. For the ladies who can’t quite get that perfect brush stroke when painting their own nails, feast your eyes on Nic’s Sticks: nail polish packaged in a chic, pen-like tube with a brush attached to make application super easy (and clean!). Nic’s Sticks are also available in a full range of colors, so don’t worry about not finding your fave shade.

Check out the Nicole by OPI Web site, where you can not only browse all the shades offered from the brand, but you can also check out a directory of charities to volunteer for. Nicole by OPI makes it easy for you, separating the charities into categories, such as “Volunteer for children” or “Volunteer for the environment.” Overall, switching to Nicole by OPI polishes sounds like a win-win situation… be sure to stock some in your purse for your next manicure!

  1. Hi Sarah! How bad is it that you can’t get a decent manicure where you are right now….when I visit, there is no one there to do my nails right!

  2. Nikki says:

What sucks about the Nicole range of polishes is that they are super sheer. i hate it. its like i have to put 10 layers to get the color that matches the bottle. I feel that there are better alternatives that are DBP, toluene, and formaldehyde free AND highly pigmented and and low-priced.
