M.I.S.S. Michelle’s Beauty Picks of the Week: Live out Your Casablancan Dreams with Sephora’s Moroccan Sunrise Collection

There’s nothing more romantic than a good love story, and Casablanca starring Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman, is one of the silver screen’s best examples. Amidst the exotic setting of Morocco, these jilted lovers find themselves in a most precarious political affair, overflowing with passion, distrust, love and sacrifice. Beautiful people, perilous times, old Hollywood, and new makeup: that is what this week’s picks from Sephora’s Moroccan Sunrise Collection are all about. And the following are my favorites from this limited edition collection:

PICK #1: Moroccan Sunrise Palette ($32)
I have to admit, what I love most about the Moroccan Sunrise Palette is the pretty compact it comes in. The light shimmery coral, beige, taupe, brown, and pink eye shadows can be worn alone or blended together for the perfect spring/summer face. Slip this and a lip balm in your bag, and you are good to go, since you can use the coral and pink shades as lip and cheek colors as well.

PICK #2: Moroccan Sunrise Lip Gloss in Roseberry ($15)
I am absolutely in LOVE with the natural rosy pink color and the thick consistency of this gloss. Unlike other lip glosses, this gloss is not overly shiny, so it’s totally office appropriate and delivers just the right amount of shine and color to the lips. It’s really such a pretty lip color; I’ve been sporting it wherever I go.

PICK #3: Moroccan Sunrise Atomizer ($10)
This travel size perfume atomizer is the answer to being able to have your favorite fragrance available to you while on the go. Think for traveling or for freshening up after school or work to go out. A MUST HAVE for fragrance lovers like myself. Back in the 80s, I used to carry one filled with Dior’s Poison, spritzing myself and everyone within arm’s reach. Crazy to think I’ve gotten my beauty freak on since the age of 9. Wow, I am old, I really digress, but at least I smell good. “Here’s looking at you, kid.”
