Verizon Wireless subscribers in the market for a unique phone take note: LG’s latest touchscreen phone, the aptly named Versa, has officially dropped on the former “In Network”. The Versa sports a 3 inch screen boasting an animated 3D interface, a 2 megapixel camera with face detection and a built in image editor, a full HTML Web browser that supports Flash and RSS feeds, GPS, Visual Voice Mail, a built in accelerometer, a microSD card slot, and EV-DO Rev. A for all your phone tethering needs. But the thing that makes the phone special is its promised versatility. The phone ships with a pleather cover housing an embedded QWERTY keyboard for all you texting fiends, and more attachments (including a dedicated game pad and a set of speakers) are soon to follow. You can pick yours up for $199 on a 2-year contract and after a $50 mail-in rebate.
