M.I.S.S. Michelle’s Beauty Tip of the Week: Fake a St. Bart’s Tan on a Recssionista Budget with Neutrogena’s MicroMist Tanning Sunless Spray

Since the Magic, Project, and Pool trade shows have brought me and the M.I.S.S. ladies to sunny Las Vegas, I figured I better work on my winter tan, and since I don’t have a St. Bart’s tanning budget at the moment, this week’s pick: Fake a St. Bart’s Tan on a Recessionista Budget with Neutrogena’s MicroMist Tanning Sunless Spray, is also a RECESSION BUSTER PICK.

In my other life, my go to tan in a bottle was always Bliss’ Tan for All Seasons, a $36 investment, an awesome, sweet smelling product producing a fast, even, and natural looking tan.

However, on a more budget conscious level, Neutrogena’s MicroMist Tanning Sunless Spray, is another great alternative. It has a 360 degree spray nozzle that can spray upside-down, which is perfect for areas like your back, and its ultra fine mist coats evenly and dries within 5 minutes, so it’s totally a hands-free experience. It’s also available in 2 or 3 shades darker than your natural skin tone; I like the 3 shade darker formula since oftentimes I don’t actually see much change in skin tone when using 2 shade darker formulas.

For best results: Since the spray is not tinted and you won’t be able to see where you’ve just sprayed it, you will want to move rather quickly in even strokes across your body. This poses no problem though, as I am not the neatest sprayer, and always end up with an even tan when I use this product. This product is highly fragrant, so use in a well ventilated area. If you need to cover up after, wear a dark colored robe to avoid any staining, and remember ladies; always exfoliate before any fake tanning.
